Your First Steps
Where can I find the details (times/location) of recruitment events?
Please see the full application through the "CLICK TO APPLY" button.
Do I have to attend more than one informational?
No! Only one informational is required.
Do I have to attend more than one social?
No, but your application is stronger with multiple socials under your belt!
Do I have to have previous knowledge on all things feminism?
No! We actively encourage and educate our Rosies to be well versed during their membership.
Are there any weekly time commitments?
Yes, you must attend a weekly general meeting (Mondays at 7-8pm) and 1 weekly committee meeting.
Is this a political organization? Do I have to identify as a certain political group?
No, Rosies is a social organization, we do not affiliate with any specific political groups. However, many of our members are politically left-leaning due to common values related to intersectional feminism.
Do I have to identify as a woman to join?
Rosies welcomes multiple gender identities such as those who are non-binary, and you do not need to be fem-presenting to join. However, individuals who solely identify as men would be referred to a men's organization. Once a Rosie, always a Rosie– a member who transitions gender identities during their membership will retain their membership.
Do I have to be an undergraduate level student at TAMU to join?
No, we also accept graduate level individuals! Unfortunately, we are unable to accept BLINN students at this time.
Are there dues to join Rosies?
Yes, we require $80 per semester, with flexible payment plans available.
